Peugeot AdBlue Repair

Peugeot's BlueHDi diesel engines use AdBlue to meet Euro 6 emissions limits. AdBlue faults on these engines are one of the most common jobs we see, across both cars and vans.

Common Peugeot AdBlue faults

On many BlueHDi models, the AdBlue pump, heater and level sender are built into a single module inside the tank. When one part of that assembly fails, the dashboard typically shows “AdBlue system fault” or “Emissions fault” with a countdown of several hundred miles.

  • “AdBlue system fault: starting impossible in X miles”
  • Tank module pump or heater failure
  • Level sender reading incorrectly after a refill
  • Crystallisation around the dosing injector

Models we regularly see

Partner, Rifter, Expert, Traveller, Boxer, 208, 308, 508, 2008, 3008 and 5008 with BlueHDi engines.

Shared platforms

Many Peugeot vans share engines and AdBlue systems with Citroën and some Vauxhall models, so the same diagnostic approach applies.
